Is there any difference between flying and floating?
A gas filled balloon floats in the air, but birds fly.
This indicates that Floating is a term used for the objects lighter than air, where as Flying is the term used for the objects that are heavier than air, but can ascend up in the air.
The objects lighter than air do not need to possess any specific shape or a specific part/limb, to remain up in the air. It is very much like piece of wood floating on water, possessing any shape and size whatever.
But the objects heavier than air need a lot of energy to stay up in the air. They also need good balancing to fly up in the air.
